Sheldon ISD, a fast-growth district located in northeast Houston, is looking for a full-time Assistant Choir Director for the 2024-2025 school year at C.E. Middle School, a 3C middle school in TMEA/UIL Region 33 that feeds 6A C.E. King High School. The King MS Choir is a well-supported, musically successful program that routinely earns Division 1s and 2s at UIL Concert & Sightreading with Varsity and NonVarsity Boys and Girls Choirs. We are looking for engaging, energetic, organized, collaborative, and pedagogically strong music educators who can provide student-centered instruction and positively impact students' lives. Preferred applicant experience would include a track record of success with male, female, and mixed voices; in recruiting and retention; and at diverse, Title I campuses; but all choral/teaching experience levels will be considered.
REQUIREMENTS:
Texas certified or accepted in an Alternative Certification Program and eligible to be hired after passing the TEXES Music EC-12 exam.
